We created a monochord (kind of like a guitar) out of a board and 2 different thicknesses of guitar string. We weighted the strings down with milk jugs with water. We tested tension, length of the string, and thickness of the string to see how the pitch changed when it was plucked. This was for an online competition with my 5th grade science team. :)
