Federal Government

Today we learned about the 3 parts of the federal government. We also did the lesson on voting. Below is a picture of the review that we did after the lesson. I left this on the board to help them with their worksheet.  Thought it would be good to post here, as it may be useful in preparing for the unit 4 test, which will be Thursday, April 9 ( tentatively).

Telling Time

We did more work with telling time today. We watched an excellent video that has the students practice along with it. It sings a catchy song that says: - Find the hour. - Count by fives. -Count the lines. -Find the time. I encouraged the students to sing this little tune in their head as they are telling time on the worksheets.

Friday

I will have all students take the spelling test tomorrow and for the students who make a 100 we will count it.  That way those who have been studying all week will be able to go ahead and take it.  I will continue with the same reading lesson plans next week and we will be using the story Horace and Morris.  The reading test will be postponed until next Friday. Then those who did not make the 100 on the spelling test will retake it.For those who do make a 100 there will be no spelling list to study next week.
