Christmas Party

Thank you, room parents!

Our Jouney on the Polar Express!

Today we traveled to the North Pole on the Polar Express!  We loved our hot chocolate with marshamallows and candy canes.  Mrs. Knust punched our magic tickets.  Santa even came to deliver Christmas bells from the North Pole!

Christmas in Australia

Here are some pictures from us learning about Christmas in Australia.  We wish we could spend Christmas on the beach!

Christmas Card Exchange

We are doing a Christmas card exchange with classes around the United States and Canada!  It is so much fun to get mail each day and learn about all the different schools that are sending them!

Imogene's Antlers

Today we read Imogene's Antlers and wrote descriptive paragraphs of what our antlers would look like if we suddenly grew some!

Christmas in Italy!

Today we learned about Christmas in Italy!  We got a sticker on our boarding pass, did some Internet research, viewed a PowerPoint, and did a little craft.

Santa

Friday Santa stopped by our room.  We presented him with our persuasive letters and he let us know that we are all back on the NICE list! HOORAY!  Thanks to the ruritan for the treats!

Snow, Snow, Snow!

Well we have REALLY been trying to play catch up lately due to all those snow days.  But, I'm excited to say that today we sent our epals their VIRTUAL Christmas gifts (a friendly letter with a description of a gift we would give if we could).  Can't wait to see if they guess the gifts in our descriptions!

When we came in the classroom this morning we found a note with Bill the Elf saying that we are all on the NAUGHTY list! Bill had gotten into our project supplies, made a mess, and made "coal" for each of us from Santa.  So....we wrote persuasive letters to Santa today to try to get back on the NICE list.  Hopefully on Monday we will find out that we are!

Mystery Reader Friday!

Meet Elf Bill

So I've been crazy busy preparing for next week's Christmas Around the World unit that I am just now getting around to posting a picture of Santa's little helper.  This is Elf Bill (named by the class).  Today he hid in the Tattle Box.  We think he might be trying to send some of us a message. ;)
