Tried out a new website today called Splash Math.  These lessons were awesome to help with the place value we've been learning!!! Unfortunately we only have a limited time to try it out, as it is a paid subscription learning site. :(

Place Value Hotel

We love playing place value hotel on our interactive board. It is great for helping us practice place value!

Exercise Lesson

On Tuesday an exercise specialist from Memorial Hospital in Jasper visited us.  She talked to us about why exercise is important, who should exercise, and ways to exercise.  She did some great exercise activities with us.

Monster Skype

Today we did our mystery monster skype with a 2nd grade class in Nashua, New Hampshire! They go to Ledge Street Elementary School. Both classes wrote very clear directions and followed each other's directions well because our monster pictures were almost alike!

Pumpkin Book Reports

I am amazed at the creativity and the different ideas everyone came up with! You all did awesome! Thank you parents for making this project a success! The book reports were excellent.

Pumpkin Seed Project!

Today we did our pumpkin projects. We estimated the circumference and measured and we also estimated the seeds and counted. We were surprised at how many seeds were in those little pumpkins! Ask your child how many his or her pumpkin had. A huge thank you to Brett and Blayten's families for donating the pumpkins! Another huge thank you to Brett's mom for helping us with our project today!
