Pumpkin Book Reports

I am amazed at the creativity and the different ideas everyone came up with! You all did awesome! Thank you parents for making this project a success! The book reports were excellent.

Pumpkin Seed Project!

Today we did our pumpkin projects. We estimated the circumference and measured and we also estimated the seeds and counted. We were surprised at how many seeds were in those little pumpkins! Ask your child how many his or her pumpkin had. A huge thank you to Brett and Blayten's families for donating the pumpkins! Another huge thank you to Brett's mom for helping us with our project today!

Math Stations

Today in our stations...

Place Value Hockey on the laptops...

Math Racing on the iPads....

A place value differentiated curriculum game with partners...

And independent work at our seats.

Place Value is Delicious!

Today we practiced place value using Cheese-its for hundreds flats, pretzel sticks for tens rods, and marshmallows for ones cubes.  Mrs. Knust gave us some tricky ones to do but we weren't fooled! We also talked about the value of each digit in the numbers and did expanded notation. And yes we got to eat our maniplulatives when the lesson was over!
