As the big day approaches and before I get too busy on that first day of school, I would like to take this opportunity to tell my new students, "Welcome to 2nd grade!" The first day of school is MY MOST FAVORITE day of the entire year....yes, even better than my birthday! :) I already know that I will not get any sleep the night before. Happens every year! But, yes, there will be the weekend to recover from that.
I hope that all my students are ready to learn a ton this school year! You must be on your toes in my class because we don't waste any time and we learn as much as we possibly can. Along with that, I also hope that my students have a lot of fun while in my class! We will do a lot of really neat things and my goal is for my students to want to come to school because they don't want to miss out on what we're doing.
Another goal for this class is that just like last year all my students will be reading above grade level by the end of the year. It is also my wish that my students become great problem solvers and critical thinkers as a result of our frequent use of technology in the classroom.
I could go on and on but I will just finish by saying that I can't wait to meet my new students and get to know them better! I love my job, my school, and my students and look forward to beginning this year's new adventure! :)

To My Students on the Last Day of School
It is the last day of school and I would like to say thank you to all my students for their hard work this year. I am very confident in saying that each of you are ready to go on to 3rd grade! You all have done great with the blogging and all the other technology challenges I have thrown your way and I'm so proud of how far you've come! We have a class where every single student can not only read, but read very well!! Each of you are currently above (and some far above) grade level in your reading and I hope that you continue to read over the summer so that you do not get the "summer slide." It is also wonderful that many of you went above and beyond in math and passed most (or all!) of your multiplication facts. I have enjoyed working with you all and also your parents. I hope you have a fun, safe summer and I will see you back here in August!

I could eat sausage, pepperoni, and cheesy cheesy pizza. I eat it for lunch and supper. It smells cheesy. It taste really good. I eat pizza about once a week.

My Blog About Blogging
I am so glad Mrs. Knust class gets to use laptops to blog. If Mrs. Knust didn't have a blog we would be writing in journals all morning. That wouldn't be very fun. I like the laptops.
