A Couple of Updates

I told the students today to look at their spelling lists at home and make sure it does NOT say list 2. I mistakenly handed the wrong list out to some students on Friday. They can return the wrong list for the correct one. The words in their assignment books are the correct ones. 

Friday will be the test over the first grade high frequency words. They do NOT have to know how to spell them, just read them without hesitation.

Today we have two caterpillars and one egg. Exciting!

Prep for Friday's Test

Today I made up some practice problems that will be similar to 5 of the problems on the phonics section of the test.  Here is what I used with the students today:

Today our egg was black on top which means the caterpillar will eclose soon!!!

Xtramath

Graded Papers

Parents,
I just wanted to give you all a heads up that most graded papers that come home will be from the previous day.  My prep time is in the morning everyday so papers will be graded at home each night and passed back to the students the next day.

Laptops

Today we used our laptops for the first time! We did a practice spelling test and learned how to get to our reading test.
