Snow, Snow, Snow!

Well we have REALLY been trying to play catch up lately due to all those snow days.  But, I'm excited to say that today we sent our epals their VIRTUAL Christmas gifts (a friendly letter with a description of a gift we would give if we could).  Can't wait to see if they guess the gifts in our descriptions!

When we came in the classroom this morning we found a note with Bill the Elf saying that we are all on the NAUGHTY list! Bill had gotten into our project supplies, made a mess, and made "coal" for each of us from Santa.  So....we wrote persuasive letters to Santa today to try to get back on the NICE list.  Hopefully on Monday we will find out that we are!

Meet Elf Bill

So I've been crazy busy preparing for next week's Christmas Around the World unit that I am just now getting around to posting a picture of Santa's little helper.  This is Elf Bill (named by the class).  Today he hid in the Tattle Box.  We think he might be trying to send some of us a message. ;)

Horse Presentation

Today Kristi Armstrong brought in her horse "Opie."  She gave us a lot of information about horses and let us pet Opie.

Corn and Butter Demonstration

Today we had fun with a presentation by Chuck Froehle and Patty Warner.  We did a lot of hands-on activities and were able to sample cornbread (not made from a box!) and homemade butter.

Guest Reader!

Mrs. Kavanaugh and her class read to us this morning for AEW.  We REALLY enjoyed listening to the stories that they shared with us!

American Education Week Day 2

We went to the public library and did a craft and heard a story.  We also had the chance to see some artifacts there!  Thanks to Librarian Sadie and her helpers!

A Special Skype

Today we Skyped with my cousin Logan who is in Arizona attending intelligence training.  He is in the army/national guard.  He answered many questions for us!  We had fun Skyping with him and learned a lot!
