American Education Week Day 1

Today we learned about oceans, ocean life, and had a pirate show!

I want to be president

If I was president I would be  nice.  I will make sure people are good.  I will not let people fight. I will make sure kids behave in school.

I Wish I was President

I would like to be president.  I would  talk to people. I would  go places . I would look for  people who've been bad.

I would be obomu.  he is niss.  I like him.  he is a good gy.

If I were President

If I were President I would make a law saying that you could not litter in other people's yards.  If I were President I would paint the White House black.  If I were President I would turn the Grand Canyon into a swimming pool.  If I were President I would paint the inside of the White House blue.

I would be so happy to be elected President.  I would walk and tel People to peck me.  I would jump off a plan to be President.  I would rather be a King to go fishing.

If i was present  .I woud spend my money on a motorcycle. and a jeep .I woud buy a ipod. and fhone.

I would make money.  I would have a good canidate.  I would be happy of my job.  Iwill make good laws.  I would be nice to peopole.

If I was a president

If I were a real president I would say peapole don't need to kill the animles and they donot need to feed them.It is important to be a president because you haveto go to school and learn math,science,spelling,multiplication,section so you can be a president and take good cair of th animles and the birds so the animles can live and stay healthy.If you want to be a president you haveto stay healthy  and strong  like me.It takes a lot school to be a president because you need to stay a A and B student  so you can stay on top of you'er graed.

I wood be happy to be the president.  My mom and dad wood be happy for me. I wood tell people to pick up trash.  I wood hop people wood pick up trash.

Peabody Energy Leader in Education Award

I was recently surprised by a school convocation in which I was presented the Peabody Energy Leader in Education Award!  I received a gift basket with a flip cam and other goodies and a check for $1,000.  I was excited and honored to say the least.  I will be eligible for the $5,000 Educator of the Year Award which will be presented in August.  I believe the winner will be chosen by facebook votes.  I love teaching and feel so lucky to be able to go to work excited about what I'm going to do each day.

Blog Looks Great

I just want to say how awesome it is that your class has a blog and everyone gets to contribute.  Mrs. Knust has been talking with me about the problems the class has been having with posting your posts and we are working on it. 

Has your class had a chance to try some of the books at www.biguniverse.com ?  I would love to hear comments from you with your thoughts on the program.  Your teacher can send me an email with all of your comments, each of you can email me, or I can set up an online survey.  Just have your teacher let me know what she would like to have your class do.

Keep working hard in your class and listening to your teacher.  She does a great job and will have each of you ready for third grade next year.  Good luck!
